Job Duties
To support university departments by receiving incoming freight, shipping outgoing freight, tagging controllable assets, and disposing of surplus property campus wide. To make day to day business transactions routine. To provide support in the day-to-day operations, decision making, and activities of the warehouse functions. Provide inventory management of surplus property, student packages and tagging controllable assets. Maintain and train other staff on the Warehouse's Web-based Training System (WTS) as required. This position is to ensure proper receipt, stock, storage, and distribution and delivery of a wide variety of materials, supplies, and equipment, while maintaining cleanliness, order, and accessibility of warehouse functions.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge and experience with warehousing operations to include loading; shipping, receiving, and inventory control as well as unloading, and stocking inventory as required. Knowledgeable of surplus property processes and experience with computers and computer software. Knowledge and experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklift, and safety regulations. Significant knowledge and experience with storage handling techniques and inventory control.
Additional Considerations
Knowledge of warehouse operations to include the disposal of surplus property is critical to this position to ensure compliance with State, University, and Federal regulations and laws.
