Job Duties
Corrections Surveillance Specialists contribute to the agency’s public safety mission by providing for the safety and security of the public, staff, and inmates by ensuring effective and safe custody and control along with compliance with policy and procedure. This is successfully accomplished using FUSUS camera technology. Specialists provide video monitoring security over adult inmates at the institution and supervise the daily activities of inmates while observing and recording their behavior and movement to ensure their safe and secure confinement. This Specialist position provides security and supervision of adult inmates, by monitoring videos and alerting staff of any instance outside the normal activities of the population.
This position works 12 hour shifts and positions are available for day shift and night shift.
Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge and understanding of computer systems, CCTV and video management systems/platforms. Ability to work in high-pressure environments and respond quickly to incidents. Ability to accurately record observations and maintain logs. Attention to detail with the ability to detect unusual activity, behavior or patterns in video footage. Ability to multi-task, monitoring multiple camera feeds simultaneously while documenting findings. Ability to handle sensitive footage and intelligence with confidentiality and discretion
Additional Considerations
Experience in law enforcement, security operations, or surveillance technology. Familiarity with video surveillance systems, intelligence software, or crime center platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
