Job Duties
Ability to work with minimal supervision and perform detail work with accuracy. Ability to prioritize and process multiple tasks simultaneously. Working knowledge of automated mainframe in-house payroll system and employee timekeeping systems. Understanding of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and payroll practices. Understanding of basic accounting principles. Ability to enter transactions accurately and quickly. Working knowledge of computer terms and operations. Working knowledge of PC based word processing and spreadsheet applications in a Windows environment.
Minimum Qualifications
General accounting, payroll and timekeeping experience required. Experience in Microsoft required
Additional Considerations
High School Graduate with Associate Degree preferred.
Experience with financial software products and Microsoft Office Suite products desired.
Work related experience with the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Payroll system Cardinal desired. Kronos Employee timekeeping system experience desired
