Job Duties
The position of Deputy Clerk (Grade 8) Courtroom Clerk within the Prince William County and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court is assigned operational responsibilities in a fast paced, high-volume office with frequent deadlines. Ensures court's instructions are executed-and legal documents are prepared with accuracy and in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures. Applicant must have a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Duties include but are not limited to providing support in the courtroom, ensuring court's instructions are executed, preparing detailed court documents in accordance with established guidelines and appropriate policies, and automated case management system data entry. Duties will also include assessing and receipting fines and costs as well as scanning documents. Must be able to multi-task and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Most competitive applicants will have court, business or office related experience, plus experience handling money. Applicant must be detailed oriented, organized and able to multi-task arid work independently. Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills and advanced knowledge of office automation systems and computer software required. Must be team oriented while promoting a positive- office environment.

Court experience and experience handling money preferred.
