We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Base Supply Store (Langley AFB).
The purpose of this position:
- Responsible for the implementation of the goals and objectives of VIB by promoting efficiency of supply store
operations.
- Responsible for supervision, staffing, planning, inventory management, promotion of store sales, and operational efficiency
of the location.
- Empowers blind and visually impaired individuals in achieving their maximum level of gainful employment and career
development.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidates will have:
Knowledge/Experience:
• Retail operations experience
• Customer service experience
Abilities/Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to supervise people and use time effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to manage a diverse workforce; skill in analyzing, problem solving and exercising good judgment in critical decision making.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies associated with working in a retail environment to include customer service, merchandising, inventory control, federal Base Supply Store customer requirements, point of sale system operation and acceptable sources for replenishment and work to increase sales at stores while reducing operating expenses.
- Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and agency personnel.
- Good computer skills including Windows applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
Other duties and/or special projects as assigned and completes duties and/or projects as needed or directed by supervisor
