For our Social Media Specialist, we're looking for a friendly and upbeat customer service star who will thoughtfully and thoroughly help Virginians who reach out to DMV for assistance on social media. The Communications Office is a small shop, so we also need a multi-faceted team player with experience in developing social media content, designing graphics, shooting video, and writing and editing a variety of communications.
Minimum Qualifications
• Comprehensive experience managing and executing organic and paid social media programs, including developing content, graphics, videos, animations, and annual editorial calendars, customer response, crisis management, and social and digital media paid advertising placement.
• Considerable knowledge of video production, marketing concepts, and coordination and evaluation of communications activities.
• Skilled in the use of social media creative, publishing and analytics software to produce graphics and videos.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a persuasive and tactical manner.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and develop goals, objectives, and operating guidelines.
• Ability to build and position the agency’s image through the promotion of services and the packaging and distribution of information.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and data for decision-making and to make formal presentations.
• Ability to handle complex situations and interact with diverse constituencies, including executive-level decision-makers.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships, manage multiple assignments, organize work, and coordinate activities across a diverse group of people and special interests.
Additional Considerations
• Certification in social media platforms such as, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, Meta Ads, HubSpot, etc.
• Expertise in managing creative campaigns and coordinating efforts across diverse teams.
