Piedmont Geriatric Hospital is seeking a Human Resource Analyst I - Benefits Coordinator to oversee our comprehensive benefits programs, including Workers' Compensation, health benefits, life insurance, VSDP, VRS, and more. What You’ll Do:
As the Benefits Program Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in administering essential benefits programs, providing consultative services, and ensuring employees receive the support and guidance they need. Your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing Workers’ Compensation and serving as the Return-to-Work Coordinator.
- Conducting New Employee Orientation (NEO) training, introducing new hires to our benefits offerings.
- Providing consultation and administrative support to employees, managers, and supervisors across a variety of HR programs, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to succeed.

Assisting in the planning and management of programs that support our employees such as Benefit Fairs and the Service Award Program.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will bring experience in benefits administration, an understanding of HR systems and laws, and have excellent organizational skills to meet stringent deadlines. Be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing and provide excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in administering benefits programs, including health insurance, life insurance, Virginia Short Term Disability Program (VSDP), Virginia Retirement Service (VRS), and Workers’ Compensation or equivalent.

Experience with Microsoft Programs with and a proven ability to use Microsoft Excel.

Experience with HRIS database systems such as Cardinal, VNAV, WC injury reporting, and VSDP Leave Reporting or equivalent.

Proven knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other various leave types, and compliance with E-Verify regulations.
Additional Considerations:
- A professional HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) would be a plus.
- Prior experience with onboarding new hires and providing an overview of benefits and relevant policies is preferred.
