The Virginia Department of Fire Programs serves the citizens of the Commonwealth by enhancing public safety through supplemental funding to local governments, education, and training to first responders, re prevention and life safety education through community risk reduction and statewide re code enforcement.
About the Position
As the Administrative Technician, this position will work with Training and Operations Branch as required and will assist the Accreditation & Certification Division with tasks as assigned by the Accreditation Manager/Division Chief. This position will provide support in assuring test packages meet and/or exceed the requirements for accreditation. The Administrative Technician will also be responsible for preparing certifications for mailing to students that successfully complete accredited training programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience providing customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Experience demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Documented experience using basic office and organizational skills. Documented experience in the use of Microsoft Office Products to include, but not limited to: MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access. Experience maintaining electronic and physical records.
Additional Considerations
Previous experience collecting, sorting, and distributing staff mail and similar documents as well as experience preparing documents for mass mailing.
