Job Duties
Virginia Tax is seeking a highly motivated technical individual to mentor and lead a team of Sales Tax Error Resolvers that perform problem analysis and correction of tax accounts. The Team Leader will be responsible for reviewing and assigning work, approving transactions, providing technical support and answering questions. This position functions as a member of the Office of Tax Processing in the Error Resolution Business Tax Unit.
This is a full-time position, with 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm ET. This is an office position that is eligible for 2 days of teleworking from home.
The positions are based in Richmond and the anticipated start date for the positions will be in July 2025.
To be eligible to telework from home, a hard-wired high-speed Internet connection is REQUIRED with a download speed of 10 MB or higher, an upload speed of 10 MB or higher, and a maximum latency of 75 MS. Your modem/router must have ethernet ports for a physical phone connection.
The anticipated hiring salary is commensurate with experience up to $58,657.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of Virginia Sales tax laws, rules and regulations and their application to tax forms
Knowledge of or experience with accounting or tax software and computer systems
Ability to lead, coach and mentor a team in a high-volume production environment
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work, handle multiple tasks, and adjust priorities as necessary
Ability to analyze tax accounts and tax account periods and accurately apply all liabilities and resources to the proper accounts
Additional Considerations
Strong communication verbally and in writing
Advanced experience or knowledge of business administration, taxation, accounting or other relevant fields or backgrounds
Knowledge in the use of tax and accounting systems such as (Advantage Revenue (AR), Siebel, and/or Image Retrieval
