Job Duties
As a member of the Commissioner's office immediate staff, independently performs a variety of administrative activities in support of an executive management level professional. Work regularly requires discretion, interpretation of policies, procedures or processes and frequent interaction with federal, state and local officials as well as private citizens. May provide guidance to staff in other offices or districts as an information resource or to assure quality and continuity of actions and information. Conducts research or assembles information and develops summaries.
Minimum Qualifications
• Comprehensive administrative support experience in an executive/senior level environment
• Ability to support, maintain, and/or refine internal administrative and legislation policies and procedures that support senior leadership within a large complex agency
• Knowledge of automated office processes and office management
• Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, think critically, coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Considerable ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality
• Proficient experience in a variety of software applications, including Microsoft
Office Suite
Additional Considerations
• Training / experience in public administration, public health, healthcare administration, business, communication or related field.
