Job Duties
The Process Improvement Analyst increases the agency’s capacity to achieve its goal of Virginia becoming the healthiest state in the nation by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations. The incumbent will lead, develop, and communicate strategies for improving operational efficiency and effectiveness. This position supports and assists with the following: establishes and promotes a culture of quality improvement (QI) within VDH by leading and coordinating QI efforts; conducts training for VDH staff across the Commonwealth on quality improvement and process improvement; and leads specific quality improvement or process improvement efforts and teams.

Minimum Qualifications
•Experience in performance or quality improvement; research and evaluation techniques and management processes
•Experience implementing cross functional process improvement principles
•Progressive experience in business analysis and project management with analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving experience and/or conflict resolution experience or similar experience
•Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships with management and staff within a large and complex organization
•Demonstrated ability managing complex communications
•Skilled in communicating effectively orally and in writing at all levels throughout the organization and facilitating group projects
•Excellent Microsoft office suite skills to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
•Demonstrated ability creating tables, dashboards and reports from analyzed data presented to stakeholders
•Strong organizational skills with excellent, professional verbal and written communication ability
•Ability to plan, conduct and present findings and recommendations of process improvement projects
Additional Considerations
•Knowledge and training in business administration, public administration, health administration, project management, or other related field
•PMP certification
