Job Duties
We are seeking a Clinical Social Worker to independently develop, implement, and maintain individualized treatment plans for clients, serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team and provide linkages with families/significant others and community agencies. This individual will complete social work assessments, identify patients’ discharge needs, establish and maintain effective working relationships with existing and potential community services providers. This position will work with all patients at NVMHI with a treatment team focus for civilly committed admissions. Additionally, this person would conduct family meetings and individual therapy, as well as facilitate treatment groups. The successful candidate will have knowledge of clinical work theory and practice, skills in clinical assessment, treatment plan development, and implementation, group and individual treatment and case management
Agency provides Clinical Supervision is provided to all MSW’s seeking advanced licensure.
Minimum Qualifications
Prior inpatient social work experience in mental health or internship.

Clinical Social Work licensure in Virginia
Master's in Social Work is required.
