Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Taxation seeks an efficient, effective and professional leader to serve as Print & Mail Services Manager in the agency’s Tax Processing Office. This role will help lead staff members and processes to support print and mail services, courier services, warehouse operations and the proper destruction of documentation.
As a Print & Mail Manager, you will…
Manage the day-to-day activities of all assigned staff.
Provide a nurturing environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, employee development and shared goals.
Manage daily operational matters and make effective and timely decisions to ensure production requirements are met and ensure no adverse impacts to taxpayers or production operations.
Monitor incoming and outgoing inventory and supply usage, manage production throughput to ensure operational requirements are met.
Ensure productivity is measured, documented, supported by analysis, and used to determine staffing needs and whether the systems are operating at optimum levels.
Maintain accurate and documented operating and quality control procedures.
The position is located at our Westmoreland Office in Richmond, Virginia. This position is an office position and requires 5 days in the office. It is not eligible for telework.
The anticipated hiring salary is commensurate with experience up to $95,000.

Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to lead people and projects
Experience analyzing business processes and workflows to determine and implement improvements
Demonstrated ability to lead business projects while managing budgets, inventory, and expenditures
Experience reviewing, improving and developing written standard operating procedures, instructions and guidelines
Considerable knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong written and effective communication skills
Additional Considerations
Experience working in local, state or federal government
Ability to plan, organize and handle multiple tasks and adjust priorities as necessary
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
