Job Duties

Assist in all aspects of the Department of Corrections (DOC) Agribusiness farming operations, ensuring that farming operations are operated in compliance with all Divisional and Institutional Operating Procedures, State and Federal regulations or any other required regulations. Provide training, supervision and evaluation to inmate workforce while performing all farm tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing and to interpret and follow oral and written rules and regulations. Demonstrated ability to organize and complete work assignments with minimal guidance from others, to understand and apply operation procedures and to compose written responses to inquiries and prepare reports. Demonstrated ability to operate farm equipment and ability to supervise, keep accurate records and solve practical problems. High School diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.

Additional Considerations

Agricultural, construction or equipment experience. Possession of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or the ability to obtain one preferred.
