Job Duties
Virginia Energy is in search of a Title V Enforcement Inspector for the Mine Land Repurposing Program. This position will provide valuable economic development support activities in Southwest Virginia and will serve as the subject matter expert on reclaimed mines sites and post mine land use. Duties include site evaluation and providing technical assistance for development prospects.

Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of scientific and engineering principles related to the duties of this position
- Ability to interpret and apply all reclamation laws, regulations, procedures, to evaluate on-site conditions and written mining and reclamation plans, methods, systems and procedures
- Knowledge and/or experience preparing property description information and realty documents
- Experience communicating effectively both orally and in writing
- Skills in use of engineering and scientific equipment (such as GPS unit, water/soil testing kits), the use of digital photographic equipment
- Proficient skills with personal computers and computer systems (Microsoft Office)
- Skilled in 4-WD vehicle operation and basic maintenance
- Valid driver’s license
