Job Duties
The Center for Leadership and Ethics, Virginia Military Institute (VMI) is accepting applications for a Facility Manager and Technologist. Under the direction of the Director of the Center, the Facility Manager and Technologist is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Center’s facility and the AV/IT support associated with its use.
Duties:
Overall supervision of the following functions:
• Facility management and assistant building coordinator
• Principal technologist for the Center
• Assistant CLE Security Officer
Note: Evening and weekend work will be required.
Minimum Qualifications
• Knowledge of sound system operation, projection equipment, and theater lighting.
• Knowledge of AV/IT systems.
• Proven ability to work in a team setting and the ability to communicate complex concepts and information to a general audience both orally and in writing.
• Outgoing and people-oriented with demonstrable management and leadership qualities.
• Expert skill in all Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly PowerPoint.
• Ability to operate independently.
Additional Considerations
• Experience in theater / stage production.
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Customer service experience
