Job Duties

The VMI Tailor shop is seeking candidates for a full-time Tailor. The Tailor shop provides alterations and repairs to the Corp of Cadets.

Job Duties:
• Support the Tailor Shop by altering/repairing cadet uniforms.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines.
• Keep accurate account of daily work for later, reference, to include use of IPAD.
• Provide customer service to cadets and faculty with uniform questions.

Minimum Qualifications

Sewing, alterations, and textile work
Oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with others as a team
iPad/ computer skills

Additional Considerations

• Basic sewing skills preferred; however, we are willing to train the proper candidate.
• Basic computer skills.
