Job Duties

The custodian position at the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation resides in the Facilities Management Department and is responsible for performing custodial maintenance duties but not limited to- dusting, mopping, vacuuming, windows, cleaning and restocking restrooms.

Minimum Qualifications

*Knowledge of cleaning methods and use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, supplies, and safety practices related to work.
*Working skills in operating manual and power cleaning equipment.
*Demonstrated ability to read and follow cleaning label instructions, follow oral
instructions, perform a variety of cleaning tasks, tolerate contact with cleaning products and solutions.
*Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects, to stand for extended periods, and to perform manual labor.
*Special emphasis on "customer first" service provided in accordance with guidelines outlined by the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation.
*Ability to fully embrace the Housekeeping Model per the direction of Senior Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor and Facilities Manager.
