To employ and develop Virginians who are blind, visually impaired, or deaf/blind to achieve their desired level of employment through the manufacture and delivery of quality products and services.
We are seeking to fill Supply Store Associate - Langley. The incumbent will perform the following:
The purpose of the position:
• Perform stock clerk, cashier, and customer service duties utilizing an automated point-of-sale system
• Responsibilities include cash register operation
• Providing customer service and assistance with special orders
• Receiving merchandise
• Stocking shelves
• Quality assurance
• Material movement
• Other duties in support of the operation of the Base Supply Store
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge/Experience:
• Customer service experience
• General warehousing and/or retail experience
• Experience working in a military environment
Abilities/Skills:
• Demonstrated problem-solving and excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills, familiarity with internet, Microsoft Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office software
• Ability to perform duties independently without direct supervision
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand up to 8 hours
