This position is a restricted position and will be contracted for 18 months. The position may be renewed, dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance.
This is a full-time, restricted-classified, exempt position in a pay band 5. This is a restricted-classified position, which means the position will be available only as long as funding is available.
• Data Collection and Management: Collect and organize research data from various sources (surveys, experiments, databases, etc.) to support institutional research needs.
• Data Cleaning and Validation: Ensure data accuracy by cleaning and validating datasets for completeness and consistency.
• Statistical and Predictive Analysis: Perform statistical and predictive analysis using relevant software tools to interpret data and generate actionable insights, including psychometric analysis.
• Data Visualization and Reporting: Create visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) and compile research findings into reports/summaries for presentations and publications linked to funding requirements.
• Collaboration and Trend Identification: Work closely with research teams, faculty, and administration to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that support ongoing research and strategic planning.
• Support in Study Design: Contribute to study design by advising on appropriate research methodologies, sampling strategies, and data collection methods.
• Program Evaluation and Predictive Modeling: Assist with evaluating programs on and off campus and develop models for predictive analytics to inform decision-making.
• Retention and Success Analysis: Develop and assist with methods for analyzing student retention, withdrawal rates, graduation rates, and faculty/student success measures.
• Documentation and Methodology: Assist in documenting research methodologies and ensure consistent application of analytical approaches.
• Institutional Reporting and Data Governance: Compile data for institutional reports and support data governance practices, focusing on data quality and maintaining RBC’s data standards, and funders.
• Survey Tools and Data Collection: Utilize tools like Qualtrics and SQL for data collection and research, ensuring efficient and effective quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with campus offices and divisions to support the college’s goals for staff, faculty, and student success, providing insights through research and data analysis.
• External Data Requests: Evaluate and respond to external data requests, optimizing the utility of research results and ensuring clarity of information.
Minimum Qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to ensure data integrity and accuracy, analyze statistical data, and generate reports.
• Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative data.
• Moderate knowledge of statistical methods, analysis techniques, with experience in SQL, Qualtrics and/or other statical software.
• Qualtrics Proficiency to include Data input, export, survey input, data analysis (to include but not limited to: regressions, correlation, ANOVAS, path analysis)
• Microsoft Office Proficiency, including Excel with emphasis on formula writing and data transformation.
Additional Considerations
• Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, social science, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• Doctoral degree in statistics, mathematics, social science, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
