Job Duties

Requisition, Purchase and Issue Materials.
Requisition material and equipment in accordance with the facilities policies and procedures.
Purchase parts or tools as needed to maintain TMS inventory.
Maintain Equipment and Grounds.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on buildings and equipment in accordance with the work order control system – TMS.
Recognize and report corrective maintenance (CM) to the work order control center and to perform corrective maintenance in accordance with the work order control system – TMS.
Support.
Assist others as directed by the supervisor.
Client and staff furnishings, equipment, documents, etc. are moved with care using appropriate hand and powered equipment to include hand trucks, fork trucks, life gate trucks, etc.
Assist with disaster exercises or special events as directed by the supervisor.
Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Operate and Maintain Shop Equipment.
Operate shop equipment in a safe manner and to report unsafe condition to the work order control center – TMS.
Lockout/tag out defective equipment as required by departmental policies.






Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge
- Knowledge of utility, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, carpentry, painting, and buildingmaintenance, use of various hand and shop tools, and Code requirements
- Safe working practices including lockout & tag out, and MSDS requirements.
- Working knowledge of material requisitions and purchasing procedures,
and knowledge of organization of work orders using a computer software management system preferred
- Basic computer usage required
Skills
- Employee must be skilled in the use of various hand and shop tools for maintenance work, includingdrills, saws, multi-meters, sanders, drain cleaning equipment, ladders, man-lifts, etc.
- Good mechanical and communication skills
- Ability to procure materials, inventory items and issue tools/material via TMS inventory
- Excellent safety practices
- Excellent organizational and communicational skills as required for work with outside contractors andvendors for material procurement
Abilities
- Employee must be able to, read, write, communicate clearly, follow instructions, perform basic mathcalculations, lift heavy objects, walking on various surfaces, and work in various weather conditions
- Duties and task are varied and range from moderately to considerable complex
- Ability to resolve most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, and may direct work of lower-level employees, and outside contractors and workers
- Ability to receive and issue material from maintenance supplies using TMS for inventory control
- Able to operate motor vehicles, and snow equipment
- Able to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
