Job Duties
Provide assistance to full-time PST Sr assigned to the Nursing Division as needed. Enroll, maintain, and run reports for Lippincott training assignments (update assignment record daily; weekly review for missed assignments; monthly update reports for all facilities; troubleshoot system issues). Assist Education Specialists with maintaining records on nursing students and clinical affiliation agreements (collect background investigation form, ID, and AFR; send packets to BIU; maintain logs of active and former students and all approved affiliated schools). Provide coverage within the Health Services Program Support Division as needed. Date stamp incoming mail and sort to the appropriate mailbox on a daily basis.
This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12 month period of May 1 – April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to compose correspondence using good grammar skills.
Working knowledge of HIPAA and other State and Federal confidentiality regulations.
Ability to deal effectively with public officials and executives of public and private agencies.
Ability to function in a fast-paced and high-stress environment with frequent interruptions.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and guidelines.
Ability to analyze problems and offer recommendations.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to compose and edit documents, reports, proposals, presentations, and policies.
Ability to utilize office technology and software.
Additional Considerations
Experience in a correctional setting.
Experience in a healthcare organization setting.
Experience with record management database, Adobe Pro, and National Practitioner's Data Bank.
