Job Duties

The VA Department of Motor Vehicles is looking to hire a Program Support Technician for a position with our Data Integrity work center.

The Data Integrity Program Support Technician will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of DMV records by processing, analyzing, and verifying data. The role includes managing financial settlements, ensuring compliance with DMV policies, and resolving complex record discrepancies. This position also supports internal and external customers by addressing inquiries and improving operational workflows to enhance data quality and efficiency.

This role requires advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to process and resolve complex data discrepancies while adhering to DMV policies, confidentiality protocols, and regulatory requirements with high attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, serves approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 8.4 million registered vehicles. Minimum Qualifications

•Proficiency in data entry, data auditing, and record maintenance with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
•Experience with database systems or data management tools.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers.
•Experience in problem solving to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
•Experience managing high-volume, time-sensitive tasks while maintaining quality and compliance.

Additional Considerations

•Working knowledge of DMV systems, such as OnBase or other document management platforms.
•Familiarity with state and federal regulations impacting DMV operations and data security.
•Ability to identify trends and recommend operational enhancements to improve data integrity and efficiency.
