About the Position:
The Virginia State Police (VSP) is seeking to hire a Storekeeper Senior in our Property and Finance Division at State Police Headquarters (SPHQ) in North Chesterfield, Virginia. The job duties for this position include but are not limited to:
• Receiving and issuing supplies and equipment from the State Police Warehouse to the field divisions, SPHQ, offsite VSP offices, the Training Academy and individual employees of the VSP.
• Putting away received stock in correct warehouse locations.
• Conducting weekly inventories as instructed by the Warehouse Manager or supervisor.
• Preparing equipment for shipment.
• Picking up and delivering items to local vendors and other state agencies.
• Picking up and moving office furniture and equipment as requested.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge:
• Of general storeroom procedures.
• Of storekeeping and inventory procedures.
• Of inventory record keeping procedures.
Skills:
• In operating computers.
• In using Microsoft Office applications.
Abilities:
• To operate 25,000-pound gross vehicle weight (GVW) motor vehicles.
• To read, comprehend, and follow oral and written instructions.
• To communicate with others in English.
• To work independently and as a member of a team.
• To maintain inventory records.
• To lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• To move, load and unload heavy supplies.
• To operate motorized equipment.
• To sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
• To work in hot and cold environments for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
