Job Duties
Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Material Management Clerk to collect and Maintain Patient Personal Property for 250+ Clients at Western State Hospital; improve Patient Personal Property processes, while working with Admissions Staff to ensure a smooth transition for patients entering Western State Hospital; collaborate with Volunteer Services and Laundry Staff, to meet the clothing and personal property needs of the patients at Western State Hospital; and improve the quality of life for Western State Hospital clients by providing teachable experience in retail shopping/work while fostering a sense of pride in appearance.
The Material Management Clerk will also retrieve sealed property bags from Admissions safe, log contents according to labels on bags, and deliver to appropriate department; retrieve locked Property Bags from Short-Term Storage, inventory items, and label items; use label software and printer to apply labels to personal property items and label bin appropriately for Long-Term Storage; maintain the Long-Term Property Storage in the Warehouse; retrieve personal property items from Warehouse, and distribute according to Unit requests; and maintain an electronic Database for all Personal Property stored in the Warehouse.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Programs (Word; Excel; etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and good multitasking skills
- Strong communication skills

- Previous experience with managing physical inventory
