Job Duties

The Office of Financial Management of DCR is seeking a dynamic, customer service and team-oriented individual for the position of Fiscal Technician – Revenue. Duties include analyzing, auditing and keying all agency deposits, processing bank deposits, handling revenue refunds, maintaining internal accounts receivable system and communicating with internal and external customers to ensure all revenues are accurately and timely recorded. The Fiscal Technician – Revenue position provides comprehensive knowledge and support to ensure the Departments monetary assets are properly controlled, recorded and safeguarded and that financial accountability is maintained.

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, policies, procedures and standards. Considerable knowledge and skill in the use of computer based accounting and financial software. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Ability to organize, evaluate and handle high volume, fast paced workflow. Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and apply detailed financial policies, and procedures. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to use Excel and Word, with experience using database applications. Demonstrated ability to provide exemplary customer service. Experience processing revenue and accounts receivable transactions in an automated office environment.

Additional Considerations

Experience with the Commonwealth’s accounting system, Cardinal. Experience with processing similar transactions in a state office; following state accounting policies and procedures.
