Job Duties
The Criminal Division Supervising Deputy Clerk works under the direction of the Criminal Division Manager and Assistant Manager. Primary responsibilities include assisting with handling the day-to-day operational activities supporting efficient case load processing, records management, courtroom support, public relations, and planning and scheduling of staffing resources in the Criminal Division. The position ensures that Court’s instructions are executed properly, and legal papers are prepared accurately, in accordance with state and local policies and procedures. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of current statutes, legal practices, and the Court's Administrative Policies and Procedures, applying them consistently.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelors degree in a related field; plus two to three years of related professional, supervisory experience in such areas as business, court, or administration. Must have prior experience in a Criminal court and training experience. Ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of accounting and proper record keeping practices in the Financial Accounting System (FAS) and Court’s case management system (GCMS) is beneficial. Should be detail-oriented, highly accurate, and organized. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
