Job Duties
As a Maternal-Child Public Health Nurse Senior, you have the unique opportunity to transform lives in your community. Specializing in healthcare for mothers, infants, and children, you will focus on:
• Ensuring access to care for pregnant women throughout their pregnancies and focusing on a comprehensive post partum visit via 1:1 case management
• Ensuring access to pediatric care via 1:1 case management
• Education, prevention, and treatment to improve health outcomes and reduce maternal and child mortality rates in the WPHD
• Partnering and collaborating with other West Piedmont Health District community partners who serve the maternal child health community
• Assisting in data collection, analysis, and interpretation at the health district level to inform program direction and engage stakeholders
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and a great collaborator with exceptional interpersonal skills in working with community partners and as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
Minimum Qualifications
Active, unencumbered nursing license
• BLS Certification
• 1 + years RN experience
• Displays strong communication skills
Additional Considerations
Experience with data collection and/or analysis
Extensive knowledge of/experience working in obstetrics, pediatrics, or neonatal care
Public health knowledge and/or experience
Leadership experience and/or training preferred
Bilingual
