Job Duties

For more than three decades, the Virginia Lottery has worked to build a strong reputation, one synonymous with providing fun, entertaining experiences and doing so responsibly and with integrity. Proceeds from traditional Lottery games support K-12 public education in Virginia. Taxes generated by sports wagering and casino gaming, which are regulated by the Lottery, benefit other priorities of the Commonwealth.

The Virginia Lottery, an independent state agency, is currently seeking a Facilities Associate III to join its Contract Administration and Facilities Management team. This position is located in Richmond, Virginia.

The Facilities Associate III position will:

Facility Management:
· Coordinates facility moves, renovations, and repairs to include building maintenance,
  furniture/equipment, and surplus property moves, installations and repairs.
· Assists with reporting building maintenance issues through 1st Service.
· Serves as backup to the mailroom.

Fleet Management:
· Assists with the coordination of vehicle requests.
· Assists with vehicle rental requests through Enterprise.
· Coordinates vehicle modifications and delivery of new and existing
   vehicles.
· Assists with fleet PM schedules and service requirements.
· Assists with transportation services as requested by Lottery management.

Monitors and maintains office machine supplies and office incidentals to ensure adequate stock is available.

Other duties may be required based on supplementary assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

The person selected for this position will have:

Minimum 2 years experience in a customer service business environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of postal, fleet and property management services.
Ability to work independently in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and performing detailed assignments in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
Ability to safely and independently exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Effective communication (oral and written) skills.
Ability to understand and follow complicated procedures and regulations.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and regulations requirements.

A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

Additional Considerations

College credits or Certification in Business Management with specialization in property management preferred.
Experience managing/organizing facility moves and renovations.
Working knowledge of COVA business, fleet, and procurement practices.
Knowledge of Lottery operations and related policies and procedures.
Ensures vehicles are properly scheduled and maintained to provide uninterrupted services for employees, vendors, etc.
