Job Duties

Enhance public safety by controlling and supervising sentenced offenders in a Humane, cost-efficient manner. Consistent with sound correctional principles and constitutional standards.

Manage the use of utility personnel in providing a variety of utility services aimed at
maintaining a suitable working environment for employees at the Department's Headquarters buildings, including repair of equipment and office furniture, relocation of furniture, relocation of files, installation/repair of locks. Troubleshoot, install and/or repair high and low voltage electrical circuits and components. Respond to other maintenance requests as needed. Responds to after-hours maintenance emergencies as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of low voltage access control systems, programmable controllers and door control systems. Working knowledge of electronics theory, including troubleshooting, calibration, test procedures, circuit analysis of electronic equipment. Ability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, mechanical drawings and blueprints.

Additional Considerations

Prior experience in maintenance, repair and installation of security cameras and access control systems.
