Job Duties

The Pharmacy Partnerships & Data Coordinator supports the Virginia Department of Health’s Division of Pharmacy Services (DPS) by coordinating program activities, fostering strong collaborative relationships with external stakeholders, and ensuring the effective implementation of pharmacy-related program activities and initiatives. This position serves as a subject matter resource for DPS programs, develops communication materials, and facilitates data collection and analysis to drive informed decision-making. Provides targeted technical assistance to partners, including law enforcement, health departments, community organizations, and other relevant entities, to help meet program goals and enhance service delivery. Operating with considerable independence, this role supports long-range program planning, quality assurance, and continuous program improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of program management principles, including planning, coordination, and implementation.

Knowledge and experience with data collection, data analysis, and data reporting.

Experience developing and delivering targeted technical assistance and training.

Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Experience supervising individuals and setting and implementing goals for a team.

Experience in resource management - pharmacy experience preferred.

Experience in public health.

Additional Considerations

Preferred software knowledge includes: Microsoft suite (particularly Excel), GovDelivery and WordPress.

Preferred experience working on/understanding of Virginia's opioid epidemic.
