Job Duties
The Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) plans, establishes, maintains, improves and promotes public transportation services, rail passenger and freight transportation systems, and transportation demand management strategies that provide mobility and transportation choices for the people of the Commonwealth.

This position will serve as the Northern Virginia Office and Facilities Coordinator, assisting with office management, procurement, events, meetings, parking management, and other administrative activities.
This wage position will work approximately 20 - 24 hours per week on-site in our Alexandria, Virginia office.
Minimum Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of advanced office practices and procedures
• Some knowledge of state procurement, human resources and administrative practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills should include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to interface with visitors, staff and vendors
• Ability to coordinate diverse administrative functions in a remote office, which requires independent judgement based on circumstances and interpretation of policy
• Ability to operate copier, document scanning system, multi-line telephone, fax machine and computer equipment
• Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions and execute good judgment in unusual situations
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and outside stakeholders
Additional Considerations
• High school diploma or equivalent with related clerical training/experience in an automated office environment
