Job Duties

Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Transportation Operator to provide transportation services to Western State Hospital (WSH) and the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents (CCCA). The duties for this position include: delivering laundry, food, trash carts, and supplies to multiple facilities; providing transportation services for patients as needed; picking up linens from CCCA and bringing back to WSH for processing; removing trash from the units and taking to the dumpster for disposal; delivering drug boxes and lab boxes throughout
WSH and CCCA; recognizing and reporting corrective maintenance (CM) to the work order control center and performing corrective maintenance in accordance with the work order control system – TMS; cleaning and sanitizing equipment and vehicles on a routine basis; checking fluids and inspecting all vehicle components for any deficiencies; and assisting with snow and ice removal.

Minimum Qualifications

- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Valid Operator’s License with safe driving record
