Job Duties

We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized procurement officer to oversee purchases and develop new contracts. In this position, you will play a key role in procuring high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for our organization.

The procurement Officer should have thorough knowledge of State Policies and Procedures as related to State Procurement. They should be able to process departmental purchase requests to ensure the timely delivery of required goods or services, including Emergency and Sole Source Procurements. This position serves as the main link in the communication chain between materials management and its customers, therefore responsible for reviewing purchase requests submitted to purchasing and making designated procurements (facility maintenance contracts, food bids, goods contract purchases, and produce orders) within agencies delegated authority for goods, unlimited for services. This position also assists in daily Warehouse and PPE operations and inventory tracking as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Prior procurement experience.

Valid State Driver’s License.

Must be able to obtain a VCA within one year of employment.

Prior experience using Microsoft Office.

Additional Considerations

Associate Degree in Business or related field.

Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

EVA Procurement System Experience preferred.

State, County, or Local Government procurement experience preferred.

Extensive experience in Public Purchasing.
