Design Learning Programs That Train Approximately 2,000 Employees
Build the Learning & Development Resources That Build Careers
Ever wondered how large organizations train their workforce? You're about to find out—by collaborating to create professional development materials yourself. We need two interns to develop and enhance learning resources for DMV's Professional Development and Management Development programs.
The Virginia DMV is upgrading its employee development programs, and you'll be part of the team creating the materials that teach leadership, professional skills, and technical skills to employees across the agency. This isn't just formatting PowerPoints—it's instructional design work that shapes how people learn.
The Project: Organizational Development
Create facilitator guides, learning materials, and instructional resources for agency-wide training programs.
You'll work on two major development programs (Professional Development Program and Management Development Program) while gaining hands-on experience with instructional design tools and learning technologies.

Career Applications: These skills transfer directly to careers in corporate training, education technology, curriculum development, learning and development (L&D), and organizational development—fields with strong job markets and growth potential.
Why This Experience Matters:
Every organization needs people who can design effective learning and development for the workforce. Whether you're interested in corporate L&D, educational technology, human resources, or organizational development, this hands-on experience with real training programs (not hypothetical projects) sets you apart. Plus, you'll learn Adobe Captivate, which is an industry-standard tool for eLearning.
