About The Position
The Regional Practice Consultant, Medicaid for the Northern Region provide programmatic supervision, consultation and support to Local Departments of Social Services to promote efficiency and accountability in program operations and enhance service delivery to customers in the region. Provides feedback to the Program Manager and Regional Director on issues that pertain to specific local agency operations or have region-wide/statewide implications.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have demonstrated:
• Considerable knowledge in specified program area with the ability to interpret and apply Federal/State policies and regulations.
• Experience providing guidance, training, assistance and support to local departments to ensure quality, efficiency, and accountability in all program operations.
• Experience developing and delivering policy, procedural and automated systems training to individuals with varying levels of program knowledge.
• Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Understanding of human behavior, as it relates to social and economic concerns and casework principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Experience managing multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
• Knowledge of or relevant experience in social work, public administration, human resources, or a related area, or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of the position.
• A valid driver's license.
Occasional overnight travel required.
Additional Considerations
Significant knowledge and relevant experience in program area, interpretation and application of Federal/State policies and regulations, guidance, training, assistance and support to local departments. Significant knowledge of and or relevant experience social work, public administration, human resources, or a related area.
