Job Duties

This position is wage/hourly and will work Monday-Friday, during the core business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on an average of up to 20 hours per week. There are no state benefits offered.

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services’ (DBHDS) Office of Sexually Violent Predators is seeking a motivated individual to fill the temporary SVP Operations Specialist position. This is an onsite position at DBHDS Central Office, which is located at 1220 Bank Street, Richmond, VA 23219.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Managing and maintaining the SVP Tracker among other internal databases
• Extracting data and reports for the OSVP and external partners
• Overseeing and/or coordinating the evaluation process for URIST and DOC offenders
• Creating and maintaining SVP reports
• Providing support for CRP and Program Specialist
• Providing office support
• Tracking payments and obligations / available funding, to ensure there will be enough for the life of the contract/MOU.
• Reviewing vendor’s invoice and backup documentation within 3 days of receipt.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience operating a computer and automated systems including MS Office, Adobe, TEAMS, SharePoint, Internet Explorer and Chrome.
• Experience in managing data.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as exceptional customer service skills with internal and external customers.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships.

Additional Considerations

• Experience creating, manipulating, and maintaining spreadsheets.
• Experience with the SVP legal process.
