As part of a dynamic team, you’ll work in a complex, highly integrated application environment that is critical to the agency, taxpayers, and the Commonwealth. You’ll collaborate with business and technical experts to define requirements, design solutions, and ensure systems meet the needs of both Virginia’s citizens and its government.

The position is located at our Main Street Centre location in Richmond, Virginia and has a hybrid schedule consisting of 3 days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 days teleworking (Monday and Friday).

The anticipated hiring salary is commensurate with experience up to $92,000

Minimum Qualifications

 

Ability to lead functional reviews, manage Change Management requests, and facilitate training for end-users and internal teams

Proven ability to translate complex business needs into General Systems Design (GSD) documents, including detailed business rules and functional specifications

Experience conducting needs assessments to identify deficiencies and recommending optimizations to reduce costs or meet legal or policy requirements

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Ability to facilitate meetings and maintain effective working relationships

Ability to perform systems analysis, project planning, and project management activities to design solutions to complex business problems

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on creating professional functional design documents in Word and managing data in Excel

 

 

Additional Considerations

Proficiency in SQL for data research and experience managing documentation/version control within Git on Azure DevOps

Ability to design test plans, scenarios, and scripts. Must be comfortable executing tests, documenting defects, and performing retests to ensure business requirements are met. Experience in evaluating test results to make final "Go/No-Go" recommendations for production releases

Advanced knowledge, skill and ability in areas such as computer science, accounting, or related fields
