Job Duties

The Administrative Assistant provides office support services to the Director and Co-PIs in the performance the day-to-day operation of the NSF HBCU-UP, STIP, LSAMP and Dwight Eisenhower Fellowship Programs. Provide administrative assistance in coordination with the local high school administrators for the recruitment of students for the program. Assist the Project Director in managing and implementing the grant. Conduct research on special projects. Develop, design, and oversee the production of brochures, posters, publications, and presentations. Track Budget for the HBCU UP, STIP, Eisenhower, and LSAMP grants. Provide all necessary secretarial assistance for implementing the HBCU-UP and LSAMP programs.

Job Duties:

• Provide assistance in the day-to-day operation of the funded projects supported by TCEER (NSF HBCU-UP, STIP, and Dwight Eisenhower Fellowship, etc.).

• Perform record keeping and data management.

• Conduct research on special projects.

• Pick-U & Delivery.

• Special and Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Working knowledge of office practices, procedures, and currently used office equipment; and a variety of automated and manual filing systems; standard English grammar, punctuation and usage; and basic computational arithmetic to include decimals and percentages.

• Working knowledge of project coordination and managing of grants. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to coordinate student’s activities. Demonstrate ability in tracking budget.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and meet and greet the public.

• Demonstrated ability to work with others in the collection and dissemination of information necessary for effective outcomes.

Additional Considerations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working knowledge of Qualtrics.

• Familiar with research.gov database for reporting data to funding agencies.

• Working knowledge of BANNER, Microsoft Office Suit for developing and maintain budget worksheet (Excel) and developing and printing posters (PowerPoint).
