Job Duties
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall upkeep of the facility. This role performs routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks on building systems, equipment, and grounds to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff. Duties include troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, conducting regular inspections, and responding promptly to maintenance requests. The technician also ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. On call weekends.

Minimum Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
•Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
•Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of facility systems.
•Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff to minimize disruptions to resident care.
•Inspect and maintain resident safety equipment, such as lifts, alarms, and emergency systems.
•Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper storage of hazardous materials.
•Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
•Monitor and maintain facility grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and exterior upkeep.
•Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
•Assist with emergency preparedness by ensuring systems are operational and accessible.
•Support a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Additional Considerations
What We’re Looking For
•Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical operations.
•Skill in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing facility equipment and systems.
•Ability to perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency repairs promptly.
•Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, safety guidelines, and work orders.
•Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, vendors, and residents.
•Basic computer skills for logging work orders and maintenance record
•Experience in healthcare or Long-term care environments is a plus.
•Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
