Job Duties

The Virginia Department of Veteran Services is seeking a part-time V3 Transition Resource Coordinator. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing V3 Certified Employers within the specified V3 Region.

• Coordinate V3 Core Curriculum Training attendance.
• Manage employer reports to track all certified employers.
• Complete New Certification Outreach in accordance with SOPs
• Recruit companies within the region for V3 Certification.
• Leverage agency programs and serve as a strategic partner to assist employers with finding, hiring, and retaining veteran employees.
• Promote, recruit and assist employers with the development of workforce solutions that include agency service line support and V3 MOU partners
• Conduct internal review of clients for quality assurance to include the following: Enrolled but Not Trained (as needed); Undeliverable Emails; Hiring Report Compliance; Use of Transition Newsletter; etc.

Minimum Qualifications

· Ability to manage multiple clients, programmatic activities and/or projects simultaneously.

· Ability to effectively interact with diverse constituencies and inter-agency government officials.

· Ability to identify and prioritize program performance and service delivery.

· Knowledge of database administration and/or a client relationship management system (CRM).

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Demonstrated attention to detail and good organizational skills.

· Prior experience providing training and instruction to adult learners.

· Knowledge of best practices on recruiting, hiring, and retaining military community.

· Knowledge of career readiness services such as resume writing, mock interviewing, and job/career navigation.

· Experience and knowledge with military transition processes (state/federal), resources, services and family/service member impact.

Additional Considerations

Experience with a background in social service, business, public administration, education or combination and job experience. Ability to build relationships and foster collaboration. Experience presenting to a variety of audiences.
