Job Duties

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) is seeking a professional individual to serve as a Quality Improvement and Logistics Manager. This position provides programmatic and logistical support for the activities of the quality management system (QMS), including assigned Quality Improvement Committee (QIC) subcommittees and the offices of Clinical Quality Management and Community Quality Management in facilitating and coordinating a comprehensive quality infrastructure to support data driven quality improvement initiatives in community and facility-based services.

Additional responsibilities include:
• Managing web content for assigned webpages.
• Providing support and monitoring for the development of quality improvement processes and initiatives for behavioral health, developmental disabilities and facilities.
• Contributing to the expert knowledge on quality improvement frameworks, tools and materials. In this role, this position will assist in the development of quality management programs
• Serving as programmatic lead for assigned QIC subcommittees, providing staffing and coordination.
• Serving as lead developer and coordinator for training that furthers DBHDS’ culture of quality, understanding of quality improvement principles and use of tools to a varied audience of internal and external stakeholders.
• Providing coaching, consultation and technical assistance to both community and facility-based quality improvement teams, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in quality management, quality improvement, plans and strategies, and/or managing projects or administrative functions.
• Knowledge of quality improvement and management processes, tools, and planning.
• Knowledge of quality and project management principles, tools, and planning.
• Knowledge of data management, report writing, and using data for performance improvement.
• Knowledge of measure development.
• Ability to develop and provide quality improvement consultation, technical assistance and training.
• Ability to manage projects, and to use a variety of Microsoft Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data software effectively and proficiently.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; work well independently and on a team; and develop and sustain relationships.

Additional Considerations

• Knowledge and experience working with physical health or behavioral health care data.
• Knowledge of web content development, including use of WordPress.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards for publication of documents.
• Experience in facilitating diverse groups to achieve identified outcomes.
