Job Duties

To deliver training and ensure training coordination is completed as assigned as measured by the total training hours provided and the satisfaction of VCBR administration and VCBR department heads. To ensure scheduling of all mandatory training, communicating all requirements and developing and implementing new training opportunities. To assist with room set up, assembly of printed training materials and assistance with the audiovisual aspects of training presentation. To coordinate VCBR Therapeutic Options instructors and assure VCBR staff members maintain TO certification. This position also assures VCBR meets CPR and First Aid training requirements. Maintain training files for each employee. Develop and implement new training as required by the facility. Manage Learning Center materials, notification and annual data entry. Coordinate all contractor, volunteer and intern training.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrates the ability to develop and deliver training.
• Demonstrates the ability to work cooperatively with department heads, staff trainers and VCBR staff.
• Demonstrates knowledge of facility and departmental instructions
• Demonstrates ability to interpret policy and develop effective training modules on the specific subject matter.
• Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning theory.
• Demonstrates skill in oral and written communication.
• Demonstrates skill in the use of audiovisual and other training equipment.
• Demonstrates skill in the use of computers
• Demonstrates the ability to compile reports on training compliance and maintain a comprehensive manual of all specific training.

Additional Considerations

Experience working with sex offenders preferred.
Experience in training defensive tactics and other useful training techniques.
Training as a DBHDS Therapeutic Options techniques and/or training preferred.
Experience with VCBR 1033 techniques and/or training preferred.
Experience as CPR instructor preferred.
Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting
Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
Proven ability to master the full training cycle
Adequate knowledge of learning management software
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
Familiarity with talent management and succession planning
Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI
Sound decision making and organizational skills
Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
Proficiency in MS Office and in database software
BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field
Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting
Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
Proven ability to master the full training cycle
Adequate knowledge of learning management software
