Job Duties

Act as summer camp counselor to manage children between the ages of 5-12. Conduct activities, games, crafts and other fun learning experiences as assigned. Spend time out of doors during activities, walking and active engagement is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Age 16. Must be enthusiastic, dependable, mature with strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Be able to be outside in all sorts of weather, walk up to two miles daily, lift up to 30 pounds unassisted. Able to communicate clearly with campers, fellow counselors, interpretive staff and parents/guardians. Able to respond quickly in an emergency. Available to attend all training sessions and work Monday-Friday for the majority of camp.

Additional Considerations

Demonstrated child-care experience or education experience preferred. Experience with outdoor/historical activities preferred. Valid CPR, First Aid and/or CMA credentials a plus.
