Job Duties
This position oversees and manages the administration of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Additionally, they will use their skills to design or implement health information technology applications for resolutions of clinical or health care administrative problems. They will supervise the Health Services EHR team and work collaboratively with the health IT team.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership in system implementation, workflow redesign, or data analytics.
Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, clinical data structures, and reporting functionality.
Proficiency in EHR build, testing, validation, and implementation of clinical tools, order sets, templates, and workflows.
Knowledge of HIPAA, data privacy, and information security standards in healthcare environments.
Demonstrated executive-level communication skills, with the ability to present findings, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and interdisciplinary governance bodies.
Skilled in Excel and Microsoft Suite for data analysis, reporting, and presentation.
Effective facilitator of interdisciplinary collaboration, training sessions, and executive-level briefings.
Ability to analyze clinical workflows and translate operational needs into technical system solutions.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve EHR issues, escalating appropriately to informatics governance or IT workgroups.
Ability to adapt to new technology and evolving clinical workflows while maintaining productivity.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines.
Additional Considerations
Board certification in Informatics or equivalent informatics certification.
Minimum of 1-year experience in EHR implementation.
Previous clinical experience in a correctional environment.
Healthcare certification or licensure.
