Job Duties
Virginia Tax’s Office of Customer and Taxpayer Services is seeking an Office Coordinator who will provide extensive support to the unit, thereby enhancing the overall effectiveness and efficiency. Customer and Taxpayer Services is a fast-paced, dynamic work environment which requires quick learning and thinking, strong interpersonal skills, and professionalism in dealing with internal and external stakeholders. Customer and Taxpayer Services support the agency’s customer service functions and serves a vital role in fostering positive customer interactions and ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
This is a full-time office-based position, with an 8-hour shift, Monday-Friday, 8:15am-5:00pm ET. The position is based in Richmond at our Westmoreland office. The anticipated start date for the position will be June 25, 2026.
The anticipated hiring salary is up to $47,000-$50,000, commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications
Strong computer skills to include the use and navigation of multiple systems, especially MS Suite Excel and Word.
Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with multiple layers of management.
Experience analyzing and researching critical information.
Strong technical skills to help troubleshoot technical issues with phone agents.
Additional Considerations
Tax knowledge and experience with tax related software and programs such as the Integrated Revenue Management System (IRMS)experience
Working knowledge of Smartsheet
Working knowledge of SharePoint
