Job Duties
The Transportation Scheduling Analyst provides coordination and analytical support for inmate transportation scheduling across the Department of Corrections. This position serves as a coordination and analytical support function within centralized transportation scheduling, working closely with Regional Managers and other stakeholders to align and refine scheduling practices.
The Transportation Scheduling Analyst supports implementation of centralized coordination efforts by organizing scheduling inputs, facilitating communication, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. The work requires sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
Position enhances public safety and operational efficiency by partnering with Regional Managers and key stakeholders to support scheduling alignment, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to a coordinated, data-informed approach to transportation. This role supports the efficient use of resources and helps ensure transportation activities are responsive to operational priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in operations, logistics, scheduling, or administrative coordination
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated experience delivering responsive customer service and supporting stakeholder coordination in a professional or operational environment
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple functional areas
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, respond to stakeholder needs, and support collaborative problem-solving
Working knowledge of coordination, scheduling, or logistics processes
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively across functional areas
Proficiency with data tracking tools (e.g., Excel or similar systems)
Ability to apply structured thinking to operational challenges
Additional Considerations
Experience in corrections or institutional operations
Experience with scheduling or workforce management systems
Experience supporting process improvement or operational initiatives
Familiarity with data tracking and reporting practices
