Job Duties

DMV is seeking to hire an Office Manager who would be responsible for overseeing daily office operations, staff performance, program administration, and stakeholder communication to ensure efficient, compliant, and customer-focused service delivery. This position manages high-volume operational programs, supports organizational objectives through effective leadership and process oversight, and serves as a key liaison between internal departments, external partners, and regulatory agencies. The Office Manager plays a critical role in maintaining operational integrity, improving service efficiency, and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.

*Establish clear performance expectations and goals aligned with organizational objectives.
*Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide constructive feedback, coaching, and performance support.
*Document employee performance evaluations, discussions, and corrective actions in accordance with agency policies.
*Support employee development through training, mentoring, and career growth opportunities.
*Address workplace conflicts, performance concerns, and operational issues promptly and professionally.
*Develop and implement performance improvement plans when necessary to maintain accountability and productivity.
*Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure efficient workflow, customer service excellence, and operational continuity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of DMV’s online dealer, fleet services, and dealer services programs, including related regulatory frameworks and operational standards.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, including performance evaluation, training, and professional development.
• Proficiency in analyzing complex data, managing high-volume workflows, and resolving operational challenges.
• In-depth understanding of state and federal regulations governing DMV operations and program compliance.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address escalated issues and implement effective solutions.

Additional Considerations

• Advanced knowledge of change management strategies, legislative impacts on DMV operations, and project management principles.
• Familiarity with modern technology systems and software tools used in DMV operations, such as program management systems and compliance tracking tools.
• Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with external vendors, dealers, and regulatory entities.
• Experience working with DMV operations or a similar state agency, particularly in program management and compliance-focused roles.
• Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, managing large-scale programs, and adapting to regulatory changes.


• Background Check: Must pass a fingerprint-based background check.
• Licensure: Must possess a valid driver’s license with no major convictions.
