Job Duties
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment through the daily cleaning and disinfecting of patient care areas, administrative offices, treatment spaces, equipment, and living quarters in accordance with hospital policies, OSHA, and EPA guidelines. Duties include, waste and linen removal, isolation room cleaning, replenishing supplies, sanitizing patient and treatment equipment, supporting special event setups and furniture movement, and ensuring proper handling and storage of cleaning materials and equipment. The role also requires maintaining accurate cleaning documentation, promoting workplace safety, communicating effectively with staff and patients, reporting maintenance or security concerns, and contributing to a professional and welcoming environment through high standards of housekeeping and infection control.
Minimum Qualifications
Proficient in use of cleaning equipment and supplies, including the preventive maintenance of equipment. Knowledge and application of cleaning instructions according to policies and procedures. Demonstrates competencies as defined on attached form.
Additional Considerations
Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
