Job Duties

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive environmental services support within a healthcare setting by maintaining clean, sanitary, and safe patient care areas, administrative offices, treatment spaces, and residential quarters in compliance with hospital policies and OSHA/EPA regulations. Duties include operating industrial cleaning equipment for floor care and carpet cleaning, disinfecting patient and treatment equipment, performing trash, recycling, and soiled linen removal, cleaning isolation rooms, replenishing supplies, and maintaining accurate cleaning documentation. The role also involves supporting furniture moves and special event setups, ensuring the safe handling and storage of chemicals and equipment, reporting maintenance or security concerns, and promoting a safe and professional environment through effective communication, infection control practices, and adherence to safety procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Proficient use of cleaning equipment and supplies, including the preventive maintenance of equipment. Knowledge and application of cleaning instructions according to policies and procedures. Demonstrates competencies as defined on the attached form.

Additional Considerations

Previous experience in healthcare is preferred.
